Saltash is a small town in Cornwall, known also as the Gateway to the County. It lies at the banks of the River Tamar close to Plymouth. It is a major destination in Cornwall, attracting travellers from all over the Kingdom. Most travellers arrive in the town by train, crossing the very famous Royal Albert Bridge. It offers nice views across the river, but the more active visitors can benefit from the array of activities that take place in the river. Canoeing trips are very popular but the lovers of sailing will not be disappointed either. There is a pontoon made for moorings sailing. Due to the tides, boaters can reach Calstock sailing further up the lovely river valley.
